Hilyard’s Business Solutions has been named an honoree in the large category of the Family Owned Business Awards

Wilmington, Delaware (April 11, 2019 – 3:00 PM) — Hilyard’s Business Solutions has been named an honoree in the Large category of the Family Owned Business Awards, which will be presented by the
Delaware Business Times (DBT) at an awards ceremony on May 21, 2019 at the DuPont Country Club.
“According to figures provided by the Conway Center for Family Business, family businesses account for 64 percent of U.S. gross domestic product, generate 62 percent of the country’s employment, and account for 78 percent of all new job creation”, says DBT Publisher Rob Martinelli. “We are proud to recognize the finalist family businesses for their impact on the Delaware economy and their continued dedication to helping it grow and prosper.”

Founded by Charles Hilyard in 1959, Hilyard’s Business Solutions has been proud to serve customers in Delaware, Southern New Jersey, Southeastern Pennsylvania and the Maryland Eastern Shore for 60 years. A family-owned business, we’ve built our reputation by delivering cutting-edge technology and unsurpassed service day in and day out. Originally called Hilyard’s Inc., we started out selling typewriters and other office equipment. When document management, IT solutions, and internet phone service came out, we added those to our offerings and moved into the modern age of office integration. As a reflection of that change, we became Hilyard’s Business Solutions. “We are celebrating 60 years of success in 2019, and we look forward to continuing our traditions with the next generation. Being an honoree in the large category of the Family Owned Business Awards in this particular year makes it even more special to be celebrating with our family, employees and our customers.” Says Robert Hilyard CEO of Hilyard’s Business Solutions.

More than 200 local business executives and guests are expected to attend this year’s Family Owned Business Awards ceremony at the DuPont Country Club to celebrate the honorees and their achievements. Ben DuPont, managing partner of Chartline Capital Partners LLC, will be the keynote speaker. The event will kick off with a cocktail reception and networking, followed by a video-packed awards ceremony.
